Many parents believe that to provide art materials for this kind of activity is not affordable. We calculated the costs and they are not bigger per month than any other activities paid by mothers, like ballet or horse riding (the lessons itself and the gear you have to buy). There are however ways to cut costs even lower. You don’t have to buy canvases, get canvas boards, or even lay out canvas roll and secure it to the ground with bricks. You can also lay down large sheets of paper on the ground and use craft paints on them. Buying large quantities of household paint that you paint your house walls with can be a great money saviour too. Add household brushes instead of artists brushes and you are good to go. Benefits for your child will not be any lower from all of these substitutes.
